![]() Some technology changes when you cross those barriers, particularly above 32GB. It might be limited to 32GB or possibly 64GB. The problem may also be that the ND can't address 128GB drives. ![]() So again, that's why the specific model number is needed. They probably tried USB 3.0 drives that didn't work for some other reason, but then found that their old USB 2.0 drives worked fine, and so concluded that was it. I suspect this is why some people think USB 3.0 drives don't work in the ND. Newer drives also require some new technologies which may have to do with compatibility problems. Windows commonly won't offer to format a large USB drive as FAT32 either, so I think sometimes people format with ExFAT and think it's FAT32. USB is backwards compatible to prior versions if necessary (not sure whether the ND's USB ports run 3.0 spec or not).Ħ4GB drives and larger typically come formatted with ExFAT, and most devices that aren't PCs will only recognize FAT32. ![]() You'll need to indicate the specific model number of USB drive. ![]()
